Whenever a bodily injury occurs, the first thing you should do is visit a doctor, or go to the hospital. Claims for personal accidents are always paid against evidence, and you will get – and should ask for – the necessary documentation from the doctor or the hospital.
These are the mandatory documents to submit:
- Medical certificate (e.g. medical report, X-rays or any other results of medical examinations) and/or
- Proof of medical expenses (i.e hospital or other invoices)
- Doctor’s certificate that you have been unable to work
This is a list of non-mandatory documents that can still speed up the evaluation of your claim file:
- Accident statement and/or police report
