With the 3-digit security code it is safer to deliver orders with an age limit or higher value (e.g. electronics, jewellery, etc.). For these orders, a unique PIN code will be sent to the customer, which you have to use to verify that you have delivered to the right person. This way you and the customer can feel more assured.
If you follow the instructions below, you can avoid any possible misunderstandings in the event of customer complaints later:
- When a customer places an order that requires an additional verification step, they will receive a PIN in the Wolt app.
- The customer will not be able to choose no-contact delivery, and will be advised to collect the order in person if possible.
- You will receive, accept and pick up the order in the same way as before. Nothing will change for you in the order pick-up and drop-off process.
- When you get to the customer, ask them for the 3-digit PIN code they received when they made their order in the Wolt app before you hand it over.
- Enter the code in the courier app in the space provided. If the PIN is correct, you can hand it over and complete the delivery. Important! In the case of a Drive order, the system may still ask for a signature from the sender and the receiver.
- In the situation when the customer can't tell you the code or gives you the wrong code, contact our support immediately and do not hand over the order under any circumstances! Until the correct PIN is entered in the courier app, you will not be able to mark the order as delivered.
